Books for Next Year - To Learn

Soon begins the new year and all the hopes and promises we make ourselves. Do your resolutions or goals for the year ever include your home? Following a cleaning schedule, entertaining more, not letting chores creep up on you? I do but then February comes around....
Here are some books to help inspire and encourage you that a clean and organized home is possible!

"Cleaning" from the people at Real Simple Magazine. This title says it all! Each chapter covers a room in the house with detailed instructions on how to clean almost everything in it. It lists different floors and countertops (tile, granite, wood, butcherblock, etc.) and the best way to clean each one. It also gives a 10 minute "Quick Clean" for each room, list of cleaning supplies, interesting cleaning facts.

"Simple Home Solutions" by Martha Stewart. Some of her Good Things from the magazine. This book covers a multitude of items and the best ways to do them. From organizing a linen closet to handling things in the kitchen to sewing buttons, each suggestion has brief instructions and a photo to help. While some of the information might be further than you want to go, there are some great ideas and simple solutions to everyday problems.

"Organizing Magic" by Sandra Felton. If you have no idea where to start on your road to an organized life, this book breaks it down into manageable steps, stretched over 40 days (chapters). Each chapter is only a few pages and offers things you can start doing now (cleaning up messes as soon as they happen, make a sweep of the house each night to put things away, etc.) I'm currently reading this and finding it easy to understand and apply.
